Here is how to manage your photos and videos (if don’t use iTunes) with Picasa and Google Albums. You will be able to sync to the cloud so you can have access on your iPad or iPhone and everything is always up-to-date

picasa

Pre-organize your pictures by moving them all in your pictures folder.

  • Go to Picasa –  and download and install Picasa on your computer.
  • You should always put new pictures in your pictures folder to keep them synced to the online album.documents_folder
  • Let Picasa run to scan your computer for pictures. While you’re waiting for Picasa to upload your pictures, sign into your Google account (top right). You only have to sign in once.
  • On the settings option on the sync to web slider (upper right), be sure to set the size to “original size” so those pictures can be downloaded and printed.
  • Picasa is free, and the photos you store in your Google Albums will take up space on your Google Drive. Google gives you a generous 5 gigabytes of space for free. You can pay Google $50 a year for 200 gigabytes of storage space.
  • No need to email low-resolution versions of photos, you can just use the Share button and easily share individual photos or whole albums with family and friends.

  1. I really like your wp theme, wherever would you download it through?

    • This website uses the Videozoom theme from http://WPZoom.com. While there are thousands of free WordPress themes available on WordPress.com, I often choose premium themes for website design (my own and my clients) since they offer a number of built-in features – this reduces my need to find other plug-ins to extend the functionality of WordPress.

  2. Hi there! Someone in my Facebook group shared this site with us so I came to check it out. I’m definitely enjoying the information. I’m book-marking and will be tweeting this to my followers! Wonderful blog and outstanding design and style.

  3. Greetings from Idaho! I’m bored to death at work so I decided to check out your blog on my iphone during lunch break. I love the info you provide here and can’t wait to take a look when I get home. I’m shocked at how quick your blog loaded on my mobile .. I’m not even using WIFI, just 3G .. Anyways, very good blog!

Wow! This blog looks just like my old one! It’s on a totally different subject but it has pretty much the same layout and design. Great choice of colors!

    • Thanks! I’m working hard on tweaking the design so the site works well no matter what size or type of screen you use. Smartphones, tablets and computers should all show the website pretty well with this WordPress theme (Videozoom, from WPZoom.com).
